Is this what people were thinking of when they wanted Holly’s hair to be super long? This is Bratz Passion 4 Fashion Dresden. If her hair was ever straightened I’m sure it would be on the floor. The way it is now, if a kid had her her hair would be a tangled mess. My Dresden sits on my display shelf where her hair won’t get messed with (surprisingly, I bought her second-hand OOB and her hair came this way). 2008 and 2009 Bratz have notoriously bad hair that is way too long and is subject to matting (Dresden is a 2009 doll). Mattel made a good choice in not making Holly’s hair incredibly long. My Dresden may have really nice hair, but any kid that had this doll probably tangled the hair while playing with her.

But she has curled, nylon hair so what do you expect??? The EAH dolls have saran hair, which is far easier to de-tangle, straight or curled. Look at the Featherageous Bratz dolls for example, their hair was floor length and extremely thick, yet hardly ever seems to tangle.

Short or long, a doll’s hair is going to become a mess either way in the wrong hands, so this cannot really be used as an excuse… Especially while there are a fair few actual Mattel dolls with long hair in the market right now too.

EAH’s design team down at Mattel had just one task, which was to make Holly’s hair at least floor-length, and they failed. They made a typical ‘Mattel’ move.

Hopefully she has a great facial screening so I can just give her a reroot and then hopefully donate her hair to my…

Nah, the images of the prototypes Mattel releases are always pretty much the same as the final product. Usually the only thing that changes is the facial screening. Let’s just face it, they cut a corner to cheap out… Totally the wrong corner to cut though.

Hopefully she has a great facial screening so I can just give her a reroot and then hopefully donate her hair to my boyfriend’s ridiculously thinly-rooted Ashlynn… Otherwise, she kinda just looks like any other princess. Overall pretty disappointed with these two, who I was looking forward too the most.
